Winnsboro Working Man's Tournament - 08/13/15 05:04 PM

I'm starting where the Winnsboro Bass Club stops and will be having a working mans tournament each Thursday night from 6-10pm
I just purchased a new set of scales and will run the tournament at an 80% payback until the scales are paid for($440)then we will go to a 100% payback.
Rules are the same as they have been and kids under 16 fish for free.

$20 per person includes big bass
Example of 10 paid entry's:
$200 total collected
-$40 towards scales
$160 Prize money
Payouts as follows:
$96 Heaviest Stringer (1 place paid)
$64 Big bass

AFTER the scales are paid for payout will include a 2nd place heaviest stringer and will be as follows:
Example of 10 paid entry's:
$200 total collected
$200 Prize money
Payouts as follows:
$100 1st place Heaviest Stringer
$ 40 2nd place Heaviest Stringer
$ 60 Big bass

I'm new at this so I will be open to any suggestions.

Tournaments start at 6:00 PM and must be in sight of the weigh in by 10:00pm
$20 entry per person (kids under 16 free)
5 fish limit per boat (can have multiple people per boat)
1# penalty for dead fish
Fish must be a minimum of 14" (official tournament board will be the "check it stick")

This tournament has been fun for all family members and will be good practice if any of the HS Bass Teams want to come out and get some practice in a live competition.
We look forward to seeing you on the water.

I wish I lived in East Texas. You guys are lucky to have all them great lakes so close by. I love the piney woods and love east Texas bass fishin. Maybe I can retire there some day. Good luck to all the fishermen! Post some results.

Danny I'm going to try and make a few, I grew up on that lake, since I was 10. I'm 187 now..LOL
My parents live there, right next to the Red Boat house east bank mid-lake just past blacks slew..
I usually drive to Fork on Thursday night, but might try to make that a few Wednesdays. I'd enjoy fishiing with you guys, I have 3-yrs. before retirement, I'll be there, if I live that long.... cheers

Yep Ol Ham, sorry to see him pass, good man..
We used to pile xmas trees on that pipeline way back in the 80's, goshOmighty we'd catch bass, big bass, crappie and the occasional big blue.. Lots of good memories on that spot.
Mom and Dad live in the Dutch barn house just north of what was Othar and Opal's place...
I'm really gonna try to make it out...

Red Skeeter,

Otha's son Eldon Hamilton was my previous pastor at Harmony church in Pickton.
His daughter Marylin still attends there and plays piano for us.

They are all really good people.

Hope you can join us sometime.
