I have a buddy tied in with Parks and Rec and he told me they opened Katie's Woods! I will be going tomorrow and will make sure the ramp is good! No reason it shouldn't be! But if all is good we will be launching from Katie's Woods!

The Woods is open again? Count me in! Was gonna do Lake Hawkins but I love the Vine.....Especially Twin Coves. The fishing should be great considering the ramp limitations and water level last year.

Yea it should be over full and make for an interesting tournament with all the new rain hitting. Hopefully it doesn't get canceled ahain.

How many verbal commits for this tournament do we have so far?

As long as it doesn't rise 4 ft in 24 hrs again we will be good!

Let it rise tomorrow 4ft and by Saturday it will be fine. They should be in the grass and hungry for a good ole crankbait.

We been waiting on Katies to re-open for 2 years! Maybe Bass Pro Shops will restart the Grapevine series!

I guess they are calling for some bad storms so keep an eye out here tomorrow night or before you leave sat morning to come out! If they are going to be bad then it's called! But I'm fine with just fishing in rain! See you guys Saturday morning!

When u go out of silverlake it's the first cove 400 yards on the left! In the same cove as glass cactus off gaylord!

The Weather Guys seem to think tonight's cells will move out late tonight and not pop back up till later tomorrow afternoon! So I anticipate everything moving forward as normal! I will be at the ramp by 5:15 and registration closes at 6:10! If we wake up to storms please look here before leaving the house! See yall at Katie's Woods in the morning!

For us and for most it seemed like a hard grind! One team caught em well and a couple others did just enough! 1 limit and a lot of 2 fish bags! I will post results in the morning!

Josh, thanks for running these tournaments. Great fun today despite the weather and uncooperative fish for most. Had a limit of unders but cranking battery died so never made it to the weigh-in. Looking forward to the next one.

Thats sucks george man should have called me brother we would have gotten them to weigh in.

Thanks to those who offered to help out. I definitely will reach out next time. I was so frustrated with the battery I didn't even think of asking for help. Looking forward to next one with a new battery.

I'm glad you made the bait call Friday night. And our decisions we made before leaving the ramp. One of the best days I have ever had on Grapevine catching fish. We cought a bunch and lost some big ones. what a day. wasn't my biggest sack on Grapevine but the funnest.

I ended up leaving early when the Lightning started. All we caught was some slots anyway. What ended up winning?

Not sure the weight we had 4 overs and 1 nice under. Cought tons of fish. Maybe 17lbs

I heard they're eating pink buzzbaits on the west side of an eastern wraparound. Any truth to that? Good bag Kevin and Brian.......

16-8 was the weight. 2nd was around 8 I believe.

Fished yesterday between the storms and absolutely whacked ' em. Went again today and caught one little crappie on the tires. Duplicated the same pattern but notta. Must've been some really high pressure today or the operator sux........

Wow... The lake really does look so much better full! Thanks to everyone who came out. We ended up with 17 boats who braved a massive rise in lake level and possible waves of bad storms rolling through! It seemed like it was really tough for most of the field but a couple teams figured it out! Depending on the weather the next couple of weeks, I may wait a little bit for the lake to settle down! Keep an eye out for the next one!
