Lake Tyler Big Bass Tournaments - 03/06/18 04:20 PM
Tyler Bass Club is holding its traditional Sunday afternoon and Thursday night big bass tournaments again this year.
We will fish Sundays in March...March 4, 11, 18, and 25...from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. We are adding a new feature this year, a kids' division. Kids 12 and under can enter a separate pot/tournament for $5 each in which they only fish against other kids. The kids' tournament will be a winner-take-all event with 100% payback. We're hoping to make it easier for adults to be able to afford to bring their kids and for the kids to have a fun and fair competition of their own.
Adult entry fee will remain $10. We will pay two places if we have 16 or more entries. The adult portion of the tournament is an 80% payback event.
If a kid 12 or under wants to enter the "regular" tournament and fish against adults he/she can pay the $10 entry fee, but that means he/she is not eligible for the kids' pot. In other words, we need a declaration before starting of which tournament he/she is entering.
The tournaments will switch to Thursday nights beginning in April (April 5 first tournament) and continue through August. Thursday night tournament hours are 6:00 p.m to 10: p.m. All tournaments will be conducted out of Concession One/Lake Tyler Marina. These are one fish, big bass tournaments. No dead fish will be weighed.
Come on out and have some fun.
