Benbrook weekly Friday tournament (Boat ramp and weigh in are now at Mustang Park)

When: Friday's from 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Where: Mustang Park ( 6199 Rocky Creek Park Rd Fort Worth, TX 76036 )

* 5 fish limit, 14inch and up
* $60 a boat that includes a $10 big bass pot
* there is also a $5 dollar launch fee
* you may fish solo or team
* stop fishing at 10:00pm you must be back at the ramp by 10:15pm to weigh in. If you're late you will not get to weigh in.
* 100% payout: 1-5 boats = 1 place paid, 6-10 boats = 2 places paid, 11-15 = 3 places paid etc.
* I will be at the ramp at about 5:30pm to start registration
* Take off will be at 6:00pm sharp shotgun start
* 1/2 pd penalty for dead fish. Keep the fish alive guys.
* we will have a championship in September or October ( date to be determined).
* to qualify to fish the championship you must fish at least 4 Friday tournaments.
* The lake is off limits on Fridays the day of the tournament

The weather is looking good for this Friday 04/27! Hopefully we can draw a pretty decent crowd! The marina is thinking about doing a surprise raffle included with every boat lanch fee for the boats that fish in the tournament every Friday night.

What are the typical turn outs

6-7 boats

We have had as many as 10 boats. Last week we had 25mph winds 4 boats came out and braved the wind.
1st place — 23pds big fish 6.65
2nd place — 17pds big fish 7.00
3rd place — 16pds big fish 9.40
4th place — 13pds big fish 7.65

Come out and fish guys there isn’t many lakes around that can produce the big fish like this lake. Also don’t forget we have a $1000.00 garuanteed prize for 1st place in the championship. You must fish at least 4 Friday night tournaments to be able to fish the championship. See everyone Friday.

It's been a mix of winners this year. The Burks brothers won last night with 11.25 big bass of 5.85.

the only ramp open is Mustang creek. It was low last week but you could still launch.

Mustang park boat ramp is still open! I talked to them on the phone earlier about it. The ramp will be closed soon. We will continue to fish the Friday tournament until the ramp is closed. The championship will be postponed until later in the year when they decide to pump water back into the lake. As of right now we are fishing this Friday! The fish are bitting! If you haven’t qualified to fish the championship this could be your last chance. If anything changes I will continue to post updates here.

Boat ramps are closed due to low water. When the lake comes back up we will have the championship. I will post the championship details here at least three weeks in advance.
