One of the coolest things about catching that Triggerfish, Tommar, was that it was over sand and was as pale and uncolorful as could be. However, the moment we moved it over turtle grass, it changed to the colors in the photo. What the photo can't really show you well enough, is on the dorsal fin (behind the "trigger" fin). The shades of blues that just morphed was phenomenal, because they were not present when I hooked and landed him. This catch helped me reach my Triggerfish Trifecta. I had caught a Picasso Triggerfish in 2011 and a Moustache or Titan Triggerfish on Cosmoledo Atoll; this Yellow Margin Triggerfish was my first catch of the trip on the Alphonse Atoll. All of the atolls are part of the 115 islands that make up the Seychelles, which is located in the middle of the Indian Ocean and is Africa's easternmost territory.

Well thank you for more information, flyfshrgrl!

Sounds like you're living large fishing all these exotic places!

Here I thought you were in the Gulf of Mexico. bang

Oh how I wish, because getting to their environment would be MUCH easier. They are fun to target; skittish and shy, and they crush a crab fly unbelievably so. I'll look for some pictures so you can see their incredible teeth.
