Phillipson Fly Rod... - 04/21/17 09:23 PM

Easter Sunday was a great day for me... I managed to find a guy selling 4 vintage fishing rods. One of them was a Phillipson Vintage Glass rod... I have not been able to find any information on it and was hoping maybe someone on here would have some info. What I do know from the research I have done is that it is a 6WT.

Look at rod # 29. Description appears to be a match to what you have in the photo.

you could try 7WT line on it also for deeper flexing action and for close in casts, but that is really a matter of taste.

I ended up cleaning up the cork, putting a 6WT WF line and trying it our for a little bit... I really didn't like fishing it so it's going to go on the wall, go up for sale, or trade. Thanks for the info.
