Fly Fishing in DFW!

Thought I would create a post for all of us fly fishermen to share spots in the DFW area!

The Lake Behind Keller Town Hall is productive on Perch. They will hit a black pan fish popper over and over!

Huffines Park in Richardson has a lot of green sunfish that will hit poppers thrown close to the bank.

Caught this guy at a local park in Allen.

I love that picture. I drive by Huffhines Park every day but have never seen anyone fishing there. I will have to check it out some evening after work.

Anyone know of anything close to the White Settlement bridge over the Trinity River near Thurber Mingus burger joint?

Yeah... the Trinity River is full of fish.

Sweet. I am hoping to bring my rod when I visit my brother at TCU for Thanksgiving. Looks to be plenty of fishy spots all along the Trinity

rotfl smurfs I only catch fish in a couple of metroplex locations myself..... Great fish guys.

I've only seen bluegills and catfish at huffines.

Caught this guy at a local pond on my 5WT with a size 2 bucktail streamer.
