Flying with flies?

Has anyone tried to fly with flies before, particularly saltwater flies? I'm heading to Florida on Thursday and I've tied a bunch of Grassett's Snook Minnows, but didn't even think that Uncle TSA might try to capture them. Any advice or thoughts? I really don't want to check any luggage...

I have never had a problem with large streamers for trout. I just make sure they are in a box, in a jacket, in my waders, in the carry-on.

You might want to check with your airline first.

I always put my fly boxes in checked luggage, myself, and have never had a single problem all over the World.

Personally, I don't trust the TSA's judgment on anything. You might consider overnighting them to yourself C/O your hotel, guide, or whomever you're staying with and call ahead and tell them it's coming. Just my thoughts.
