Has anyone fished Lake Kiowa?

Has anyone fished Lake Kiowa? - 07/17/15 07:41 PM

I live northeast of Denton, and didn't know if anyone has experience fishing Lake Kiowa. I have a kayak, but I really don't enjoy going out on the major reservoirs (Ray Roberts, Texoma, Lewisville) and thought Kiowa might be a good small lake to check out. Does anybody have tips or info on how, when, where, why to fish this one?

My understanding is that it is a private lake and you have to be a guest of a resident to fish that lake.

Kiowa is private and I know, unless it has changed, that home owners can only put their boats/watercraft in the water.

Moss is a small lake owned by the City of Gainesville. It even has smallmouth in it. I know you need a sticker on boats but not sure on a kayak. My wife sells the permits so I will ask if you want me to.

That's definitely good to know! I didn't want to head up there and figure that out the hard way. I would love to learn more about Moss Lake. Smallies would be fun for sure
