My dad is coming to town in November and I'd like to take him on a guided float trip on the Guadalupe. Any suggestions for a good guide service. There will be just the two of us.

I recommend Dan Cone from Castell Guide Service. Great guy and responsible for getting me back into fly fishing a few years ago. He also is a damn good cook, so you get homemade lunches while on the water.

All good guides above. Adding a few more to the list ... Alvin Dedeaux... also Gruene Outfitters now offers a guide service out of their shop. Good hunting. J.

Chris Adams from Gruene Outfitters. All around great guy and has consistently helped me in the shop. He's handled two pair of simms shoes that came apart on me by replacing them on the spot and sending the faulty rip rap's back to simms.
