Anybody had any luck with this fly? It looks like it would slay bass given the right circumstances. I'm thinking on tying a couple but wanted to see if anyone has done good with 'em before I start tying.

Yes, when it was warm. Haven’t tried it a month or two.

They are fun to fish and cast. I bought some from an online discount fly dealer. They weren’t too bad, but their hooks were very thin. I tied some on size one gamakatsu Stinger hooks, those hooks seem stronger. The ones I like are simple ones with a marabou tail and maybe a couple grizzly tips and just a bit of flash. Monotone colors like olive, chartreuse, brown and black work for me. No eyes are necessary and they don’t have to be tightly packed on the hair. The looser hair bubbles nicely on the strip.

My favorite surface bass fly. For me, gets surface strikes when nothing else will. I tie mini versions of it too, always weedless, mostly natural or olive.

Agree, its an excellent bass fly. I like the smaller ones in tan colors.
