This is a older video of back when I was living in SoCal..... going back som old videos since I do feel some home sick during the holidays. This is at balboa island in Newport Beach, CA. I miss float tubing.

I was checking out some float tubes on line. Sounds like fun for my old self. I was looking at the type you had. Can you give me some insight about these tubes. Which ones to stay away from...what's the best all-around one to get. I live near Galveston, so I'll use it for canals, marshy areas, back bays etc.

I would be glad to help out. I love float tubing, its awesome getting a fish on and getting pulled around lol
The tube I have in the video is theClassic Accessories Togiak float tube. I've had it for i'd say about 8 years, that thing is a beast. I have no big issues with it never had the bladder pop. I used it in both salt and fresh water no issues. Only problem is one par the stitching was coming undone, I'd say maybe 3 inches long. I just used dental floss to stitch it back up. I would recommend it.
But I would also look into getting the cummerland. float tube also by classic accessories. That will be my next tube upgrade. Overall I would go with the cummerland have heard nothing but great things from other who have them.

I stayed away from fish cats because they are expensive and the pockets on top of the bladder are large and its kinda hard to make a pvc rod holder.

Here is another video and shows how I have added the pvc rod and net holders I made. That's why I like the classic accessories tube, more space for mods.
