Galveston Fishing Report - Spring Time Fun
March 9, 2016

Our Galveston Fishing Charters had a simply amazing week of fishing here on Galveston Bay with Fishing Reports of large quantity and quality of Galveston BaySnapper. With water temperatures on the rise, and BaySnapper in full spawning mode, our Galveston Fishing Guides are having an absolute blast putting customers on lots of Galveston Fish Catching Fun! Just in time for Spring Break in Galveston, the fish are cooperating, and our professional fishing guides know where to catch a box full of Galveston Fish.

A couple of our Galveston Fishing Charters from this past week really stand out in my mind. The first was a Father & Son Fishing Trip. Allan and his son Wayne came back to fish with us again. Their fishing first trip with us in February of 2015 was a fun trip, but the conditions and the fish did not cooperate. Well, this past week - the conditions could not have been better, and the catching was incredible! Full limits of Galveston BaySnapper was in the box in record time, and a couple redfish to boot! The rest of the day was spent catching and releasing some incredible BaySnapper as well as a 36" Bull Red caught on lite tackle! As a Galveston Fishing Guide, I am very focused on comments made by my customers in regards to their expectations as well as their satisfaction. When a man that has fished his entire life, and is upwards of 70 years young says "This is the best day of fishing I have ever had" ...... it makes my job very satisfying. All of the fish were caught on the channel side of the Galveston North Jetty, and live shrimp was the ticket. Free lining live shrimp, or with just enough weight to adjust for currents and wind was the main factor, as well as some extremely hungry fish. After losing the man that taught me the love of fishing a few years ago -there is something about Father & Son Fishing Trips that I love. As crazy as it sounds.....I guess I kind of think Dad is watching. It was a great day with Mr Allan and his son Wayne, and I look forward to fishing with them again.

We had another Galveston Fun Family Fishing Trip this past week with the Chen family from Dallas. Mr Chen called me and had many questions for me to answer. He was referred to me by one of my past clients, and after reading our online reviews, he was ready to book a trip, but still was hesitant. He had stated he had been on many Galveston fishing charters, but our service stood out because of the feedback and reviews of how we are the Best Family Fishing Charter in Galveston and are amazing with children. I really respect when someone does their research before booking a fishing charter. There are many, many Galveston Fishing Charters to choose from. If price is the only factor to determine which Galveston Fishing Charter you choose.... there is a very good opportunity for the trip to not meet expectations. On board with Mr Chen was his wife, three kids ages 13 to 6 and his Aunt for a total of six anglers. As we made our way to the spot that had been most productive for our Galveston Fishing Guides the past week, we saw dolphins which really put smiles on the kids faces. The conditions were good, and the BaySnapper were extremely hungry. Within 2.5 hours of fishing we had six limits of Giant BaySnapper in the box, and continued to catch and release until all of their arms were sore! Everyone caught fish, and especially the kids had the best fun fishing day ever! After filling the box up with fish, and catching and releasing many, many more - the kids talked their Dad into going on a Dolphin Tour with us. We ended the trip looking and taking pictures of the many dolphins that call Galveston Bay home.

This time of year, conditions can be ever changing with Spring time winds, and rains. When we have windy conditions, and it makes open water fishing not enjoyable - our Galveston Fishing Guides are able to fish the protected back lakes and bayous of Galveston for Red Fish, Flounder, Speckled Trout, BaySnapper, and more. This was the case with a couple of our trips this past week, and fun in the back lakes and bayous was incredible.

With Spring Break just on the horizon, Galveston Fishing could not be much better. If you are looking for things to do, spend time with your family, or even a nice romantic getaway - check out one of our Galveston Fishing Charters. We have Spring Break Specials going on, and a Galveston Fishing Trip that is sure to meet any budget. Give Captain Greg a call and see what trip would be best for you! 409-739-8526
