Group from North Carolina fishing with us for three days. Day one today.
Tony was the star of the show on my boat today. Biggest red fish by two inches until Capt Jack pulled up with the rest of the group. Pulling in a forty inch and knocking him off the board. There were bull red fish everywhere today coming in with big schools of pogie today. Sheepshead and drum at every stop to fill their freezers when they get back home.
Then making a quick stop on young red fish along the reeds put the cherry on the cake.
Johnny and Toney said we did it again like last year. Put them on the fish all day from the first stop till the last.
Several stops we made today were reminders of my childhood. Places I fished for the first time with my grandfather at the age of nine. When I had mono on my pole, those big reds were in charge. With power pro I get to be in charge and enjoy watching laughing faces pull them in.
I can't wait to see the next new face when that big red fish peels the line out. Wahoo! I love my hometown Venice Louisiana.
