Walleye in bridgeport?? Smallmouth location. - 05/25/17 10:56 PM
Has anyone recently heard of anyone pulling walleyes out of bridgeport lake. I know it was stocked in the 80's but have not seen any reports lately. Also any advice where to hook up on some smallmouths on the lake would be awesome.

I dont think that the drought a couple years ago did the walleye any favors, nor have I ever heard of anybody catching them there

I see walleye fingerlings from time to time. Never seen an adult yet. Small mouth are usually found on deeper points off the rocks.

A friend of mine caught one there when we were just kids in the early eighties. He and his dad had no clue what they had reeled in. They brought it by our place to see if we had caught one before. We had not, but my grandad knew what it was and they enjoyed eating it. I have never seen any fingerling or adult walleye there myself.
