Re: Sam Rayburn - 10/09/16 11:10 PM
well rayburn was very slow sat morn
toledo was slow sat eve till about 630 then i caught six in 10 min -wacky senko and yellow magic
but then i had to make a run from indian mounds to palo in the dark -not fun
toledo lake level is very low from the last time i was there --looked to be at least 4 foot down
wind was pretty bad both days !

We just got back. Over the weekend we caught 10-15 and like 2 or 3 were maybe 2 1/2 pounds at max. We went to Toledo Bend this morning and caught nothing but a bass about the size of our hand out of Holly Park. Pretty decent weekend, everybody was telling us it was slow for Rayburn

kevine,
yeah the water at Toledo was about 4ft down. But again, that was my first time there, so I wasn't sure if that was normal level or not. It looked like it cause the stumps had water lines way up towards the top

Re: Sam Rayburn - 10/10/16 12:08 AM
my deep spots were naked at rayburn
i know it better than toledo
toledo is a mine field right now with the water that low
lakemaster seemed to be about 50 ft outta wack with the boat lane bouys --its normally +- 5 ft
luckily i ran down to indian in the daylight --had to follow my trail back in the dark

Re: Sam Rayburn - 10/10/16 02:52 AM
Rayburn is in full fall transition mode I believe. The fish have already made the fall run and are headed back out now which is weird for the water temps but I guess it's just that time of year. They are definitely not as good as they have been. The frog bite was crazy good a few weeks ago but non existent this weekend and the majority were suspended in creek channels

Don't tell me to start counting how many stumps we hit in Toledo... (luckily at idle.)

Rayburn is a few feet low but not bad shape although it could stand to be full again. Not sure on toledo but hope to find out in a week or 2
