Crawfish Around DFW?

Are there crawfish around DFW? Enough to set a trap for? If so, what kind of areas am I looking for?

We've got a private pond that's about 7 acres, but haven't seen many signs of crawfish there. Should I give it a shot?

Thanks.

When I was growing up there were crayfish everywhere around Rockwall. I used to catch them with bacon on a string. I would bet they are in your pond.

Buy live craws by the pond.

Good luck finding a honey hole. When we were kids we could clean a barr ditch out in two days and be hungry for a week.
