Tawakoni 276 boat ramp

People need to learn how to park at the boat ramps to ensure other boaters can enjoy the ramp. Yesterday someone pulled straight up from the ram and was in the way of BOTH ramps. Use so common sense when parking trailer. If you pull straight up then at least go far enough where others can pull up and back down straight. There only needs to be enough room in front of your vehicle for cars to pass by. I see it all the time and it is frustrating to say the least.

State park or Holiday.

It is everyday at this ramp. Why cant people see there needs to be room for others to pull up? I don't understand why it is so hard.

As said State Park is good as it gets, Holiday ok also, no problems there at all.

The boat ramp issue sucks, but more importantly how is the fishing at Tawakoni?

Fishing is awesome. Rain slows it for a day or two then it's on.

Holiday sucks....$7 dollars per boat and $5 dollars per person... don't think so.

how much is the state park? Never used it, I have always used holiday.

State park is $5 a person. 13 and younger free. If you go very much a state park pass is the way to go. $70 or $75 for a year.

I buy the year pass you can use it at multiple lakes in the state and its paid for just on Roberts.

Nope. Just an entry fee.

Either I'm getting a good deal or you're just getting screwed. It's only been $5 for a launch and never paid per person at Holiday. Maybe you should smile at the girl behind the counter or give her a little wink.

You only have to pay per person if you are fishing from the bank. I dont know how long you have been going to holiday marina, but believe me, it is a lot better than it use to be. I highly doubt they were tacking on the per person charge after you paid a launch fee.

I was launching a boat, not fishing from the bank, that's what the girl said it cost. I went right down to SRA boat ramp and put in for free.

I pay a flat $7 to launch at Holiday, never been asked for or paid any upcharge for additional people.
