I looked everywhere for one last year and couldn't find one published from the regular fishing map makers. Had to rely on what I could find on Navaionics web app, google earth and the maps on my Lowrance.

So far that's what I have also. Just something I really like about a paper map that is big enough to unfold so I can see the whole lake at once.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Coletto Creek - 03/02/16 01:16 PM

I fished Colleto Creek last year and did not find a suitable map. I used my Navionics on board to navigate and used Google Earth to find the "hot spots" where the water is deep or next to a point or around trees and I use the "HISTORY" button up top and slide the slider to see years back satelite footage. I found some good spots on the lake using this method and caught plenty!

I have a two map set of typo maps of Coleto Creek Res. and a waterproof folding map of Coleto Creek Res. that I would part with. PM me for details.

I looked at their website. Seems they don't have a Coleto Creek map anymore.

You can buy a map at the park office.

If it is the same one they were selling a couple of years ago, the TP&W map is just as good.

I got the maps on Friday, thanks ChuChu1. Fished the lake on Saturday. Weather was great, lake is pretty and from what I can tell is packed to almost overflowing with 16" Bass.

I have fished Coleto since opening day. Back then, all you needed to do was find a tree in 8 foot of water and you could catch 14" fish all day. There was a lot of confusion then over the size limits. TP&W installed a 3 fish 16" for the lake, but part of the lake was in a non regulatory county. A judge ruled the game wardens would have to prove what county the fish were caught in. TP&W had to go to the legislature and have the counties all regulatory.

Some of them must be growed up by now. Hopefully I'll be able to find some bigger ones on Saturday.
