As I've just learned about rainbow stocking in TX and have been looking up all kinds of info on them/gear to use, etc-- I was wondering.. why is there not a Rainbow Trout or Trout section? Maybe merge it into the bass section?

Or am I missing something?

Nearly all of the trout stocked will be caught or dead from the heat in a month or so. Then you'll have to wait until next year for the stocking again. So the season is extremely short.

Nice laugh

Actually, I hear peeps catching them in the blanco, in august-- THE SURVIVORS! It stays cold-- some article on it-- but i imagine since "early spring": they won't last too long--

I target Bluegill (Sunfish)and post a lot of stories in the Bluegill Section. I catch a lot of stocked trout during the winter time and post my stories in the Bluegill Section when I catch combinations of both sunfish and trout! thumb

Side Note: You can also find great information on trout in the Bank Fishing section! coolio
