I know it's an invasive species and I'm supposed to kill it but they've been a part of the ecosystem for decades so I'm sure the ecosystem has adapted to their presence. Plus that was my first fish of 2016 so he had to go back.

Also I'm the only person I see on brays bayou who avidly fishes. All the other fisherman I see there are your typical catfish fisherman who don't really sport fish. Just get a couple of cats to eat and leave. Not that that's a problem it's just that if I'm one of the few who actually go for the sport fish then there's no way I could put I dent in the population. So that was probably the first time in years a grass carp had been caught from there. My uncle asked if I could bring him one, he says they're a good table fare, can anyone testify?
