Anyone else here find Amazon Prime pretty darn cool???
I'm an hour away from any decent sporting goods store...$30+ in fuel plus my time and risk in tha' trip vs. "one click" purchase while I'm laying in bed and this shows up 2 days later....free shipping!

Yeah, yeah ... But can you get them to deliver more fishing tackle via drone to you while you're out on the lake?
THEN I'll be impressed.

Can't beat free two day shipping and lifetime warranty on Ranger nets. I did the same thing when I snapped my catfish net.
they could have saved a little money shipping both nets in one box though. Now I gotta throw away two boxes,

Amazon Prime is good for us too. We are 60+ miles from a Sporting Goods Store as well. We use it frequently.

If I don't need it today I buy from Amazon. No more driving to store to
find out they don't have it plus 20 to 30 percent higher.

I love it too, for the same reason. Their movies and exclusive series are a nice plus, but the shipping is the big draw for me.

I buy lots of stuff from Amazon. Prime pays for itself at this residence.

one hr booze delivery may not be quick enough for some. Lol. Also with DFW and Houston insane traffic, still dont see how they do it in an hr. Don't think AMZ delivers by drones yet.

Re: Amazon Prime...AND Hybrid Fishing - 10/22/15 04:11 PM
I use the Prime also, however, most of the time I do not need 2 day shipping so I always check the Free Standard shipping and try to save Amazon a little money. When I need 2 day which is rare, then I use it. I too am 60 miles from nearest sports store. I do not use the other parts of prime, main reason is I am limited to 10 gigs a month. So streaming movies, music, etc. is really out of reach here in the country.

With AP, you still pay sales tax and on large items that can chip away at the membership price pretty quick. I can do a lot better just shopping online. Many online stores have free shipping over a certain amount and there's no tax. You may pay shipping on small items, but it's not that much. It works for me because I'm just not that impatient to get stuff. Most places ship the day you order and the most I have had to wait for something is four days. To each his own, I suppose.
