IMO...you might want to market yourself a little better. Throw some bait (info) out there if your looking for an investor.

Might want to work on your presentation a bit...Seems a bit short and uninformative

So basically you want people to just blindly give you money while you give them no information of the product. Where do I sign up........

If you are not ready yet, then why bring it up?

I am guessing that you don't mean it to sound this way but it comes across that you think that there are people just looking for someone to give their money to for an investment. It is usually the other way around where you have to work hard to convince an investor that you have a good product and business plan. The worst thing you could do for your business is to throw our a vague offer then tell people that you aren't prepared to provide any information and that you aren't trying that hard yet.
That would make me run as fast as possible from investing.

The guys here are right, it's not about what the investor can do for you but also what you can do for the investor. An investor wants to know, what your target market is going to be (fisherman, pleasure, both?) what you're expected revenue is going to be. How have these sold and in what market? If they are new, what do they have that other kayaks don't have ( nicer cup holders, don't flip as easy,) a person can go to bass pro and buy a kayak..... What sets you apart form them? In order to get an investor to look at it you have got to be appealing and not only sale the product but sale yourself. Most investors won't want to invest $1,000 to get $1,200 back, that's more of a loan. (Which I would suggest that over an investor of possible) they are going to want a stake in it, they will want to know what the ROI (return on investment) is. You will need a good amount of info to share with potential investors and the more you get the word out to the public the better off you will be. I would rather invest some of my dollars in a new product that has people talking a bit than one that has them scratching their head. Not trying to offend you or step on your toes, just offering a little advise.

Here's my suggestion, since you're getting a tepid response here: post it on the drake (drakemag.com). Some guys over there posted similar stuff and have gotten good suggestions and a couple of guys even got some financial support. Good luck!

How much can you share? What are looking for? Information? Investors?
it has to say the least caused a lot of attention!
Alot of attention for what? Your mysterious kayak that you have 0 info on? IMO you are already entering a very crowded market, Heck I just got into kayak fishing about 4-5 years ago and just in that short time the amount and different types of kayaks out there now is unreal. There really isnt much new you can bring to the game at this point and you will be competing against some very big dogs in the game. And with your attitude of "meh I dont really care about investors, Im not really trying that hard to find any, etc etc." then all I can is good luck to ya bud. You're gonna need it.

Wish you well. Sure Ocean Kayak's is shaking. :-) Sorry, but most are on this post simply for the humor. Nothing else makes sense about it at this point.

I posted a small article looking for an investor. Just because I am not willing to disclose everything about it openly, does not say I have no info on it. I was one of the first to see it as a model.
I simply stated I was looking for an investor and assumed that anyone interested in knowing more would then ask , as many have. Most here just want to bash !
