Going out to Palestine for first time
Need advice...

Best piece of advise I can give is go slow and be careful. Palestine has tons of stumps just under the water. You can really tear your stuff up in a hurry.

Hire Jason for a day of fishing. He will show you how to navigate the lake. Much more cost effective than tearing up your boat and having it in the shop for god knows how long this time of year. Plus Jason is a great guy and will put you on some fish. I learn something every time I go out with him.
