Be careful buying minnows at North 40 store in PK

They will bag the minnows with regular air instead of Oxygen and they will die before you get to the lake. This happened to me last week and also to my Neighbor last night. Better have them put into a minnow bucket with an aerator.

Not trying to be argumentative with you, but how do you know they used regular air vs oxygen?

Nope. Hope it's better than the minnow bagging.

Never saw minnows die in 20 minutes with Oxygen in the bag. Whatever they are doing it's wrong. Also, I am not trying to stir something up on that store, just warning people so they don't lose their minnows. I'll still buy minnows there but not bag them.

where were they on the way to the lake?

Were they already bagged and waiting to be bought? I've always bagged with air and not oxygen and never had a problem with them before. 20 minutes shouldn't have done it unless in the sun in the middle of the day. Sounds like it is probably the water in his holding tank having too much ammonia. Tell the owner about it if you are going to be buying more from him. Sounds like he needs to do a water change to his tank
