How was the yak trip?

I found a few bass last weekend......inactive and mostly deep midday. How inactive you ask? The biggest one bit while I laid my rod down and was finishing a bag of chips. He was already on/hooked himself when I resumed reeling.

Late some became active following/chasing baitfish shallow around sunset.... 1st luck I've ever had there with a LF flutter spoon but those were not of much size but fun hitin them where they had spooked shad.

A buddy and I fished from our kayak's last Friday from 6 - 10:30 p.m. The bite was sloooooowwwwww. We mainly fished lily pads and a few points and only managed one bass and one drum between the two of us. I think we only had one other bass bite the whole evening. Fishing was slow, but it was a beautiful evening with some great star gazing and I was happy to be on the water...but it would have been more fun with more bass!
