Lake Terminology

Would someone explain to me in simple terminology the terms "conservation pool" and "flood pool". I think I understand what "dead pool" means.

I'm looking at the water data for Medina Lake and it says it is at 70.7% (of what?) and it is 13.53 feet below conservation pool.

What's the highest that Medina would ever be allowed to get and how much below that is its current level?

I wonder if they are saying that until the lake rises another 13.53 feet and moves into the bottom of the conservation pool, no water will be removed for drinking or released downstream to farmers and ranchers.

Conservation pool is what is commonly known as "normal level"

Flood pool is the amount of water above conservation pool a lake can hold before going over spillway.

Medina is 70.7% of conservation pool. In this example, percent full is based on conservation storage and conservation capacity in acre feet of water. As the level increases, the area spreads out.

Dead pool is the level that no water can be withdrawn or released due to being below the gates.

Full pool is the top of the conservation pool.

Conservation pool is ALL of the water between full pool and dead pool.

If the boat floats it, it's a fishin pool. Ha!
