I'd ask what graphs are on it and hours on the motor.

I clicked the link you provided and at the bottom it states the boat is in Ohio.

Nitro website shows brand new Z-6 with 115 pro xs at starting at just 22k...also where a 2008 z-6 with 115 sold in 2011 with 9 rods/reels, nice humminbird graph, and full of tackle, asking price then was 15k...

THIS! Would be a good deal at half that much.

Since you are asking for opinions, I would not spend $19k for a 2008 Z6 with 90hp. As mentioned, you can buy a new Z6 for a little more. For $15k-$20k used, you can buy more boat....and I like Nitro boats...I own a 2013 Z7. The boat and motor are fine....just high price in my opinion.

too high. Nitro's are cheaply made. You should go with Legend, Champion, Ranger, or Skeeter

This.....Don't get too excited about the first boat that comes along. You can get a lot more boat for the same money if you keep looking.

I would not buy it. There are some nice boats in the "boats for sale" section right here that are better deals. May not be as new but definitely a lot better and bigger boats.

There are more boats for sale in the USA than you can shake a stick at. There are plenty on TFF alone. Don't jump at the first one. Take your time and look online for boat sales websites. Some of these include Bass Boat Central.com (where I found mine), Boats.com, Boattrader.com. etc.

Andrew...you need to join a bass club or fish some a weekend series or BFL and spend some time in different boats. They are not all made the same and they certainly don't all ride the same. Agree with the others on here, this is not a place to make a rushed decesion

I have been looking for 2 years now just cant seem to find what fits my wants for an affordable price but they are out there. I did find one but a new addition to the family put it on hold for now. Take your time you will find something a rushed decision could be full of regrets.

I would stay away from aluminum mod v boats. If you want an aluminum boat I would get a deep v.

What type if fishing are you wanting to do?

Re: Right boat for me? - 09/13/14 12:52 PM

In fact I don't think I would want any modified v boat that is 17.5' long. If budget/space is a constraint....I would get something with a deep v for smoother ride.

I had a 15 foot Flare (glass boat) in Florida that had a Cathedral hull. It worked fantastically, I would get another one like that in a heartbeat.

Mainly bass and crappie, but i would like to start striper fishing but i dont know if it is worth getting a center console, or something like that, just to go to texoma a couple times a year.

I would stay with a bass boat. I can do everything from mine, including taking the kids skiing and tubing. Where are you located? As already stated, lots of good boats in TFF classiffieds

Agree with others. Keep looking. I don't have a problem with Nitro at all, but a 6-year old, 17' Nitro with a 90 on it should be around $11k-$12k.
