Wanna try to hit Lake Travis this week but have only been one it once. Can anyone help me out and tell me a good boat ramp to use that is up the river a bit away from the dam. Any help would be appreciated

Camp Creek Ramp off of fm1431 is closest to Max Starks dam.(head waters)
Gloster Bend Fm1431 @ Travis peak.
Arkansas Bend off of Sylvester Ford in Lago Vista.

There's also "The Narrows" off 71 in Spicewood.

Arkansas Bend is closed for improvements. Reopen maybe later this year or next - not sure.

Public mid-lake ramps at Jones Bros Park ramp in the back of Sandy Creek - launch fee kinda high IMO tho. Also in Sandy Creek is Sandy Creek Park.

Public ramps upper end at Glouster Bend and also the Narrows Rec area. Both are above the confluence of the Colorado and Perdnales Rivers.

This ram is narrow and rough. Also, parking is an open fiend and there is no security. This one would be my last choice. JMHO.
Check out Pace Bend.
