Whitney in spring, where to stay? - 01/06/18 10:15 PM

Spring trip might be nice, So far looking at Cliffview and Little Rocky lodge. Would like to have a decent cabin or room, ramp and boat slip, covered even better. Any experience? Any other ideas?

Been years since I've been to either of those. I think Cliffview got spruced up a few years ago. I haven't been back in there since I was a kid. Before we had a house on Whitney I caught my fair share of fish on their dock.

Might check Arrowhead Lodge... Never spent the night close enough to drive to Whitney. Have herd about it never even been by it.

I will look to see if I saved it, but I stayed at a little place up the Nolan river last spring that wasn't too bad. I believe you could rent a slip. It didn't have a restaurant or any real amenities, but it was quiet and nothing was stolen, so there is that.

Found it! Indian Lodge Resort. Nothing special, but it worked.

Makes it convenient so you can tow your boat and not have to worry about making two trips or if you dont have a vehicle to tow with.

I used to stay at cliffview, fairly regularly...never really had any complaints, other than most of their roooms were small, but if you are mainly sleeping, who cares...I didn’t. Slips were decent enough, and in deep water. Good wide boat launch, gas/food, etc.

Maybe Harbor Master, Cliffview or Uncle Gus. appreciate the personal experiences. Looks like White Bluff is mixed up in some legal problems.
