Where to fish for plecostomus??

I love catching unusual fish and wanna fish for plecostomus. Does anybody know spots in Texas to fish for plecos??

I don't think they are easy to catch on bait. lake Calaveras is full of them.

You are required to kill them if you catch one.

Infested is the word. They need to drain that lake, nuke it with rotenone, and start over.

Bass lake in central Ca. became infested with Northern pike in the late '80's. in '93 Ca. DFG
nuked the whole lake with rotenone, then drained it for 6 months, & re-filled it.
8 months later, lake is full of frogs & northern pike......

San Marcos river is town is full of them. I graduated from Texas State and fished it all the time. I've never caught them with rod and reel, but we used to put a hurting on them bowfishing.
