Sabine Lake just can not get a break from heavy rains, flooding, and the Sabine and or the Neches Rivers unloading millions of gallons of fresh water for the last couple of years. This has just been a speed bump for Speckled Trout, Flounder, and has had no adverse effects (at least for me) on the Redfish, at all (may even help the Redfish even more, if that is possible). There is so much shad, mullet, and Shrimp in Sabine Lake, the predator fish will not leave. If they move out, then it won't take long for them to move back. They may not be in the same place every day, but they do come back. The good thing is, Lake Sabine is not as big an ecosystem, so it is not so hard to cover most of the Lake in one day. Yesterday, with 15+ mph winds, we caught Flounder in the morning on Curly Tail Gulp, Redfish in the middle of the day on Gulp and Live Shrimp, and Speckled Trout in the afternoon under the birds on anything you throw in the water. When we got to the boat ramp in the morning, we were the only ones there. When we left, I think there were 3-4 boat trailers in the parking lot. For a full report go to Luckylindycharters.com

Side Note: We can use a lot of rain here in South Central/South Texas!
