Bay Flats Lodge - Located just outside the town of Seadrift on San Antonio Bay

A Better Fishery – It’s in all our hands!

To assure a better fishery and habitat for your future trips to Bay Flats Lodge, you now can make a small or large donation to Building Conservation Trust (BCT) Coastal Conservation Association Texas (CCA) and Bay Flats Lodge will match your donations.

Redfish

Jurassic size redfish were located over the past few days with crimson shoulders as guests realized very quickly these redfish were like the juggernaut of the marsh. We greatly appreciate the customers who caught and released these redfish. From top water plugs, gold wheedles ¼ spoons, Down South plastics tipped with 1/8 –oz. jig heads, these redfish were crushing everything in its way.

Big reports and news coming soon. Stay tuned!

Are y'all working the soft plastics under a popping cork?

Some guides around Rockport, and myself, will use a 1/16 oz. TEXAS RATTLER™ jig rigged with various shrimp soft plastics because the diamond cut glass eyes on the TEXAS RATTLER™ reflect light and provide a "Bulls Eye" for a suspended soft plastic lure rigged under any type popping cork.

I know y'all are down there, but I'm not real sure these boys are. I see them at the bait stand getting shrimp every morning.

Ohhh - OK Capt. Nathan. Thanks for that update.

I need to introduce Capt. Chris to the TEXAS RATTLER™ with its U-Lock™ - using that Alameda Rattler with success on my guiding trips was what led me to invent the Rockport Rattler® back in 2003 and get a US Patent on it in 2009, ... and the TEXAS RATTLER™ I have put on the market in 2018 is a far superior jig ... and is creating jobs in Texas, not Mexico or Guatemala.

Both you and Capt. Chris have an outstanding guide service and your reports are valued by many - please keep'em coming !!!
cool
