I have never fished the piers in Galveston but I hear they are pretty good spots. What should I be using for bait and how to rig it? What about artificials, any good and what lures to use? Any tips are appreciated.

if you can get there super early or stay thru the night the bite will be better and less crowded especially on the weekday. I have always done good on live shrimp on a poppin cork or use cut or whole mullet.
