Looking at possibly running down there a few times over the summer since I recently moved from Dallas to San Antonio. Wanted to see if fishing has been good where it is worth heading down there. Have a boat so thats no issue as well running around down there.

If you don't have a proper tunnel flats rig, Mansfield will eat you alive. You're pretty well stuck in the intercoastal and east cut, which can still catch a ton of fish, but you're limited to 10% of the water.

Takes some time and experience but there are plenty of good fishing spots. Green Island, west shoreline up north etc. that doesn't require ultra shallow boat. If ya got a jack plate, you can fish a lot of areas.
Headed down for 2 weeks 1st 2 weeks in June.
Good luck.

Might want to make your first trip with someone who knows the area, I can't tell you how many people I've pulled off sand bars.
