Headed to Galveston for a week of fishing and family. Looking for public wade and kayak access points to west bay beyond those on Sportsman Road and the state park. Know the bay fairly well from a boat, but not from shore. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Another public launch site is at the end of Settlegast Rd (where it meets 11th st). After unloading, I generally park on the grass on 11th St. just past the no parking signs so that the launch is unblocked. By Ray Crawford's book. It is a great resource. Has many pictures, maps and descriptions of wade and kayaking sites on the upper Gulf Coast. http://www.austinkayak.com/products/1374...y-Crawford.html
