Went out for a quick trip this morning, threw a variety of swim baits with no luck tied on a good ole popping cork with a Berkeley gulp and the fish started biting. We left them biting had to get home I had already missed church. The weather is finally changing it was cold this morning. Anytime I catch something it's a nice surprise. Good job on figuring out what they wanted.
May the Good Lord bless you with a bend in your rod.

I hear about people using that rig with lots of success. Never have tried it. May have to give it a go next trip down.

I like to use a 1/16" spring lock jig head with my Gulp, tied about 18" to 20" under the cork with differant chug and retrieve patterns until you find what they want, I usually give it about 10 to 15 seconds between chugs to start, and keep an eye on that cork. One of my favorite things to watch is your cork run sideways instead of going down when a red grabs it. Tight lines to you View my site for fishing reports or to book a trip doublersguidedfishing.com
