I'm up in DFW, want to make a trip or 2 to the bay each year to fish for reds and anything else fun that bites. I'm completely new to boating in salt water and have not fished in salt water since 2007 when i spent a summer on the Tybee island pier in Georgia. Anyways I'm looking for some advice, or good spots to try out.
I have a 19 foot center console sting ray, it's not a bad boat but it's fairly light (pulls on a single axle trailer"
I was told to try west bay, and mosquito island as well as under the viaduct using plastics "assuming shrimp type plastics on jigs" or love shrimp under popping corks.
I don't want to steal anyone's favorite spot but west bay is fairly large, anyone care to elaborate
