Ok for all you flounder giggers out just wanted to share the latest of whats been going on. Last 2 weeks I have gigged from Port Oconner Rockport Port Aransas Corpus Christi way down to Baffin. Lots of winter flounder this year. I have struck flounderin ever bay the last 2 weeks. When I havent had a guided trip I have been commercial flounder gigging limits of 30 taking about 8 hours. Now with the recent warm up this week action has got alot faster. Last night I gigged 29 in about 2 and a half hours then it started to rain and said the heck with the last fish and ran for the docks making for the best january gigging I think I may have ever seen. As temps keep getting warmer so will the flounder gigging but its hard to beat 29 flounder in 2 and a half hours any time of the year. Captain James Parbst www.nocturnalassault.com
