I am trying to get better/more knowledgable about wade fishing here. I have mainly fished from boats here so any tips on wading/shore spots would be great. I am not opposed to driving to port a or somewhere relatively nearby, either. I do go down PINS quite often but i'm looking for inshore places. I tried looking at corpusfishing.com but didn't find much. Thanks!

I have been on the same search as you. I have caught a few fish by fishing the backside of PINS and wading in from around the boat ramp. I have waded Dead Man's Hole behind the church twice and didn't really have any luck. I see a lot of people wading the channel that runs into Packery jettys, But it looks like you just wade to the channel edge and stand there and wait for something to come by. You don't cover any ground at all.
Usually wade fishing in POC. I have never claimed to know what I am talking about....

There are places to wade and also places to fish from the bank.
Both can be productive this time of year, for example we will have 85 temps today and 38 temps tomorrow.
So I would wade fish today and hit the deep spots tomorrow from the bank at the deep fish passes.

Behind the tamucc campus, the skinny water flats, produce reds frequently.

http://www.stxmaps.com/go/corpus-christi-bay-fishing.htmlhttp://www.corpusfishing.com/wadingspots.htmhttp://archive.caller.com/sports/outdoor...-310743241.htmlhttps://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?hl=en&msa=0&z=10&ie=UTF8&mid=1TkYZj8tf8-l_Yc86IiYWcjNxhtE&ll=27.683794893584903%2C-97.38545699999997 There was another good google map of most of Texas for non-boaters I'm having trouble finding. I grew up down there but haven't been much in a while. Indian point was a common one for me but I lived in Annaville area so it was closer. It's a pain to get to with how they did the access roads now. The jetties in Port A or Packery can be good and you never know what will be biting out there. Lot's of access to the bay side of Mustang Island but be careful you may need a 4x4 in some places. Off 361 heading to Port A can be good. If I still lived down there I'd buy a kayak even a cheap one. You can fish a majority of the bay in that area by dropping a kayak close and crossing a channel or taking a short paddle. Then wade if you'd like.
