First time post, but I already love this website. I went surf fishing two weeks ago and did not see any bait moving on the beach on both Galveston Island and Crystal beach. So my cast net was not very usefull, and I had to buy bait... Going for sharks, and plan on driving there next weekend from Houston to catch a few blacktip (hopefully), and I do not want to get caught empty handed again. Where are some good places to catch some bait this early in the season? I was thinking about maybe pulling in the marsh off of I-45. Any Ideas/good places to catch some bait this early?!?! Dont get to go often and would love to at least have a chance, any help appreciated!

Welcome to TFF !

If you want sharks, get some dead frozen shrimp, then use them to catch hardheads, then cut the hardheads up for shark. You might even pick up a red or two.

Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.
