I'm going to be working just south of Santa Fe and was wondering if anyone knows of a place within an hour drive that I can park and walk to, to do a little fishing. I'm not going to be bringing any big sticks with me just an Abu 5500 with a 7' med heavy rod and an Abu revo on a 6'6" crankbait rod. I'm not looking for anyone's secret spots just a public access area where I can throw a jig or some bait and catch a fish or two of an evening after work. Thank you in advance for any input!

Galveston East Jetty, or the rock groins off the Seawall, or head west to San Luis Pass SLP.
FM 1764 turns into 9th ave, Texas City dike
Bacliff, take FM 646 east all the way, it turns into Grand, and then turns right into Bayshore Dr. Bayshore Park. further down, haven't been there in years was 18th street pier, not sure if its still operational after Ike.
