I'm going tuna fishing on the New Buccaneer around Thanksgiving and have been advised to get some Halco 130 swim baits and I have a few questions. What color, the Max version or not and (TR)Tuna rigged or not. I would appreciate any help along these lines as well as other advice. Thank you in advance.

I've used the Sardine model with some success. If you get some be sure to change out the split rings and treble hooks. I use owner ST66 4X 2/0 hooks.

The Halco Max 130s were hot for a good while but haven't been producing in the last few months. But now that we are getting into a better tuna phase that might change. I'd take some poppers like Russelure Tuna Bomb or Strike King Tuna Hunter and other swim baits like Maguroni's.

I'd sure take more than Halco Max 130s. BTW Halco makes a very effective popper too.

Strike Pro makes the tuna hunter. Black diamond is my favorite color

I've got a couple of boxes full of them and know full well they are Strike Pro.

I have a Black Diamond too but it's never seen water. I prefer the Tuna Hunter Jr. myself.
