Just a heads up for all the captains and anglers - Nov 11th will be the opening day of duck season in N. TX. Plan accordingly.
These guys have waited an entire year to hit the water and will be out in force - long before we hit the water. Use your heads when picking a starting point for Sat morning esp if you want to start in the backwaters on Pines. If you'll give them a bit in the morning, most of them will clear out by 10 or 11am. If someone starts flashing or waving you off, please respect them and give them some room. There is plenty of lake for everyone..

Yes, please respect their space as you would want done to you. There are stories every year about it. Like said above they will be gone by 9-10 am.
If you see decoys out, spotlights shining or people hunting please do not get within their space.

Agreed but Fork shouldn't be quite as bad. Most of the hunters will be well above the bridges with the exception of Glade and Garret. Another possible on Fork will be above the first set of power lines in Birch.
EVERYTHING above 155 on Pines will be suspect.

YES!!!
I captain for some boys here for their school but I'm also a duck hunter so PLEASE give these guys a little space.
Most of them get out there to set up well before we launch and they will be done mid morning...

Ive had tournament boats come in on me and my two sons that pull into spread of mojos and couple dozen decoys talking about how this is their water, etc...etc...don't be that guy....some tournament anglers embarrass the hell out of themselves and make all of us look like a--holes.

Just felt like another reminder about opening day of duck season.

Our events this weekend are on Fork and Pines. There WILL be duck hunters out there. PLEASE RESPECT THEIR SPACE!!

It is against the law to disturb or interfere with their hunt and vice versa. Any reports of hunter harassment will be investigated and turned over to the local game wardens.

Bottom line: teach your students the right thing and KEEP THEM SAFE!!
