We live in a small town, our kids go to a VERY small private school. We have Never fished lakes before, but he wants the opportunity to fish with a high school team is it possible? We live 45 miles North of Victoria and Austin is about 50 miles away. We fish 2 times a week regardless of the weather conditions. We lives and dreams of fishing 24-7. lol Need some input. Thanks for your time.

Here are a couple sites you will want to check out and hopefully they are close enough and can get you fishing. www.Faith Angler Network.com They are a High School Tournament Trail in the Austin area. Also check out www.SETXhighschoolfishing.com. They are a High Tournament Trail in the Houston area. Hopes this helps you and gets you fishing.

As coach mentioned above there are 2 options and also we have a Houston division. There are a few options. Just review the criteria to join each one and pick the best for you. He doesn't have to be part of a large school to join with the THSBA. Not 100% sure on the FAN and SETX. We all help put kids on the water. Let us know if you have questions.

I cannot speak for FAN or THSBA, but I know SETX will allow a kid to fish with the closest member school to that kid "IF" that school will allow someone in from outside their district.

My suggestion, start your own club or organization "East Elm County Jr Anglers" for example. I believe I do speak for FAN and THSBA in saying that you do not have to be in a HS CLUB, just a club in general.

Bottom line, like Ken said above, we just want to put kids on the water the best way we can.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

That is correct with the THSBA, you may fish with the closest school that has a team, if allowed by the school. Some unfortunately do not allow other school members to participate in their schools teams. But also, you can create your own team without the school as long as you verify the passing grades.
