After a few sets of calf raises while holding 50lb dumbbells, I notice a clicking in the front/top of my left ankle. From what I’ve read, it’s an anterior pingement ligament injury. It’s mildly uncomfortable and I worry it will get worse. It clicks when I walk and when on elliptical machine.

Anyone experienced this before?? How did you fix it?

Thanks.

From what you shared and your self diagnosis you are in the ballpark. Impingement can happen anywhere in the body where tissues are inflamed or get "pinched" or combination. Typical course of conservative treatment is rest the joint 2-3 weeks; ibuprofen or other anti inflammatory; stretching; foam rolling.

Thanks. Gonna start with icing it tonight and avoid the calf raises for a while.
