So back in Nov mine was 273. Not sure break down but she said the good was "normal".

Good news is after 7 weeks of not eating like a glutton, I am getting it checked Monday to see what progress has been made.

And its FREE at your local Kroger! Setting up an appt was easy. I was going to get this done at CVS and but they wanted like $60 for the test. Was glad to see Kroger was offering it for free. My insurance only covers it once a year at your annual check up.

I would love to see it under 200... not sure how quickly you can move those numbers but I have been super heart healthy in my eating, really would expect to see a big drop.

200 or below is normal. 273 is high and most doctors would be putting you on a statin. Mine is 138 but that's with a little help. That's great the hdl was normal but you need your Ldl number too. LDL is the bad stuff with HDL being the good. Are these fasting tests if not they are worthless. The only way you get a true reading is fasting for 10-12 hours with nothing but water.

Yes you have to fast. Agreed any non fasting test would be worthless for this metric.

273 was with me eating garbage. I suspect I will have a great improvement when I test on Monday.

Been eating very clean since Jan. 3. Lots of veggies, fish, no red meat. I was having steak 3/4 times a week before. Now just salmon. Baked of course. Olive oil, garlic etc.

Great chance to check my progress and its free. If anyone is looking to understand where they are this is a great chance to do so.
