Can anyone recommend someone who does older (1960s) Johnson outboard motor repair and restoration?

I don't know a mechanic for you, but for parts, marineengine.com can supply almost any part you might need. They had everything I needed to resurrect my 1961 Johnson 5.5 Twin.

www.iboats.com has a forum for Johnson and Evinrude motors. With a model number and symptoms folks there can help a whole lot.

Put the plug in.
