I am in the market for a jon boat. Looking for one that is welded no riveted. Must b at least 1650 and center console. kind of wanting an open floor design. Would like to have the rail system like trackers, xpress, some lowes, and war eagles have. Let me know if anyone has anything. Thanks

I found, when shopping them a couple years ago, is that CC Jon Boats are hard to find on the used market, and when you do find them most people want more than they book for. Those that are priced to sell quickly, usually do. Can't blame someone for wanting a return on the investment for all of the accessories installed, but a bank won't touch one that is selling for more than it books for. I ended up buying new just to get past all of the frustration I was dealing with in finding a boat that met my needs, and the requirements involved in getting loan to buy it. I suppose if one is paying cash, then the above is not an issue.

I imagine you've done your research and know what you want, but here's some food for thought: A 50" hull with a center console in it will not leave much room to walk around. Mine is an 1860 and is pretty tight getting around the console. It is about the only reason I wish I'd gone with a 72" wide bottom, just to have a bit more walk around room.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

A 50" will be ok as long as the CC is the smaller version.
