Went there today no fires didn't say no lights 6 bucks to fish lots of people today fishing

Was out there two weeks ago and asked the staff that very question. You can set up lights and generator on the ship channel side. Big concrete walkway with handrails and they have even added a few cleaning stations with running water. I will be taking my generator and lights out there the first week of Sept. Gets WAY crowded on the weekends.

I was there two weeks ago nigh fishing, lots of people, almost shoulder to shoulder , everyone is nice though. On the channel side, people were using live shrimp and popping cork, catching trout, and many ribbon fish were chasing shad late night. Seems that the middle section of the walkway produced the most. Lots of people were using generators and spot lights. Feels like I am in an industrial zone.

You wanna catch some flounder? Go to the side where the Submarine is. Finger mullet...mud minnows are your best baits. The flounder run close to the bulkhead so there is no need to cast far. It's not deep at all there...Rig Carolina style with an appropriate egg weight.....30# test Fluro leader line
